Ducklings are little sods to take pictures of. They speed about on their rivers, like they're jet-propelled, resulting in an endless succession of out-of-focus, a-miss-is-as-good-as-a-mile pictures.

Out of focus, and half-way out of frame. This picture nicely sums up my duckling picture-taking venture.

This one actually is in focus, but part of it is missing.

Family portrait! Although the only way to get them all in the picture, since the uncooperative little sods were shooting off in different directions all the time, was to take a long distance shot. So although they're in focus, you can't actually see them.

Duckling!
The parents are much better behaved. I like ducks at the moment. They have shiny heads.

And thank you! I'll have a poke around and see about that.

The ISO used to be the type of film and you had to set the camera to suit the film so I am confused about what ISO is used for now! Seems to be light sensitivity nowadays, but i don't know how to change the ISO setting on my camera.

ISO is light sensitivity yes, but apparently it's also good for action shots. Or so says Mr Internet. You have to change the setting by going into the menu on my camera. It's near the top, right under the basic settings. I can't imagine that they're all the same, though. That would be too easy!
