"I'm a fixed point in time and space," says Jack, as RTD finally remembers his own line of dialogue. Back in Doctor Who 3x11 "Utopia" (otherwise known as the episode before it all went wrong), we were told that Jack was forever - right before RTD decided to make a lousy joke and ruin my weekend. Yes, I am childish, no, I don't care, and yes, I probably should be talking about other things instead. Monsters! Slime! Abducted children! Evil civil servants! Deadly death and danger!
But no, the "fixed point in time and space" bit was definitely best. ;)

Here Jack and Ianto have a conversation about eternity. This is important for their relationship, and a nice character moment for both of them. To me, however, it basically just means official permission to stuff silly stories about Boe back where they came from. ;)
In other news, I am loving Jack's daughter. I've chosen to decide that she was named after Alice Guppy, for absolutely no reason whatsoever. At any rate, she's cool. I doubt we'll see a great deal more of her in future, as Jack obviously wants to keep her out of the firing line. It'd be nice to see her occasionally, though.
