She's a vampire, who doesn't give a damn about anybody, and doesn't see any reason to pretend that she does. Her lack of caring can be rather wonderful.

"True Blood" has its up and downs - seasons one to three were insane, but so much fun. Then they changed the showrunner, and it went down hill fast. But one thing that never changed was the brilliant cast.
