My family had the Goodies album when I was a kid. We may have listened to it just a little too much!

Weird collection, mind. I vaguely remember being slightly freaked out by "Mummy I Don't Like My Meat".

Aw, I'm sorry. I never saw The Goodies, but I know they meant a lot to a lot of people. (I have sort of vaguely walked in the echo of their jokes all my life without ever really getting to watch them.)

*sends commiserations* 2020 is being one of those hell years and then some, isn't it?

I've not seen as much of the Goodies as I would like. My older siblings were big fans, but a lot of the classic stuff has only recently become available, as it was buried deep in the vaults for years. I'm mostly a fan from the BBC Radio series "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue", a weekly half hour of the most glorious lunacy. We lost Willie Rushton first, and then dear Humph (nobody does double entendre quite as well as an octogenarian bandleader). And now Tim.

Also, as a big fan of Python, I've long been fond of Tim. He was very nearly a Python, and actually did write a few bits. They all "grew up" together, in Oxbridge reviews, and sixties BBC comedy. And he was even more infamously nice than Michael Palin. And we just lost Terry Jones the other day...

The Goodies were the best. It's so sad to think that the corona virus saw off dear old Tim. He always came off as such a sweet guy.

By all accounts he really was lovely yes. Read yesterday that, although he loved "Strictly", he always had to leave the room during the vote, as he couldn't bear to see anybody having to leave! And he was funny. Unlike 2020!
