That's not a bad thesis actually. I can certainly see it applying to some of the really big sellers. I think the thing with "The Time Traveller's Wife" is that it seemed to be a bit different, but if you actually stop and look at it, it isn't. It's a really ordinary story, but told out of order, as the guy jumps about through time. So it looks far more interesting than it is. Maybe that's why it appealed so much to a lot of people.
