The time travel books didn't turn out well, no! I suppose there was nothing objectionable really. Mostly just dull. When it's a book that's been lauded by critics and the public alike, as "The Time Traveller's Wife" was, it's always odd to be so turned off by it, but then, despite being ostensibly about time travel, it's not really a sci-fi book. I'm not sure it's intended for sci-fi fans, either. And Michael Crichton's "Timeline" was just full of irritating people doing stupid things.
"Now We Are Six Hundred", on the other hand, was utterly delightful, and I highly recommend it.
