There was a terrific sky earlier. I tried being all photographical, but somebody put a telegraph pole in the way.

The world is very orange. Does the sky use fake tan?

I shall have to endeavour to be somewhere less wiry next time the sky goes nice. Elsewhere, strictly for the purposes of bothering you, and because it's been looking awesome lately, here's rock 'n' roll rose. He's a lot bigger and more impressive than last year:

I love rock 'n' roll rose. It's funky, so it's been named well. Actually, that's not strictly true, is it, as funk and rock 'n' roll aren't the same thing, but yes, I'll shut up now. Here, have a close up:

This one here is called Rachel Louise Moran:

I have no idea who she was, but maybe she had a Jackson Pollock fetish? I bought this one for my mother, as she wanted something interesting for her new garden. It's pretty impressive too, but not as cool as rock 'n' roll. I shall have to investigate now, and see if there's a jazz one, or a jump blues. :)

Elsewhere, Beau Geste finished. Television really has to stop doing that. It's very unsporting. It was excellent, though, and I highly recommend it, although I appreciate that the distinct lack of women will put some of you off. Actually there are a couple; they just don't get to have any fun (unless you consider reading letters from their menfolk to be comparable to Foreign Legion hijinks). Better than getting shot, I suppose. Anyhows, the conclusion was a bit of a jumble - why are last episodes so often such a rush?! It's not like they don't know, setting out, how many episodes they've got! Still, it was a terrific adaptation. I'd like to see it done again some time, as it really is one of the great adventure tales, but it is a bit problematic for the modern viewer, I'll admit. When the natives are storming the fort, one is somewhat inclined to tell the soldiers just to give them their damn country back. Honour and glory are one thing (two, strictly speaking), but nicking somebody else's country is a very silly thing to get yourself shot over.

I don't think I'd have done very well in the 1920s. Hey ho.
