Rose waffle again

Rose #2 flowered. Actually it happened several days ago, but I didn't have access to a camera then. It's now positively showing off. The old bloom, a new one, and at least four on their way. It's an awesome deep purple colour, that I'm really quite pleased with. It looked good in the picture when I bought it, but the blurb said that it wouldn't get its proper purple colour until it was a couple of years old. Looks pretty good to me already though! Smells awesome too.

That's beautiful! I've not seen very many purple roses, did you paint it like in Alice in Wonderland?!
